Vintage Native American Hopi sterling silver cuff bracelet with the ancient water symbol. Handcrafted with the traditional water symbol, used to signify cycles of life, fertility, eternal renewal and purity. Water is the most vital element for the sustenance of life.
Clifton Mowa used two sheets of metal in a technique called “silver overlay” that the Hopi’s are known for. The bottom layer of silver is etched and oxidized to give that traditional blacken background. The top layer is hand cut with precision. Then the two pieces are soldered together and buffed to a mirror like finish.
